Out of the Darkness: Introduction

Welcome to my Out of the Darkness Blog.

Here I will be discussing anything to do with darkness, fear, evil... But, conversely, their relationship to light, hope and good.

Topics could include:

- Horror movies, books, video games, etc.

- Monsters and/or villains

- Various discussions on what the Bible teaches about Light and Darkness

- Anything which could otherwise be described as supernatural, scary, etc.

I understand that these topics are not for everyone, and particularly within Christian circles there is a tendency to avoid 'horror' altogether because of its negative connotations. Should any of these topics prove to be a stumbling block to my Brothers or Sisters in Christ, I would certainly encourage them to stay their path and not wander from it. Please know that I do not condone or encourage the occult, or devilry, or witchcraft, or divination of any sort, and certainly do not seek to glorify these things, but the sad truth of our fallen world is that these are practises that—in my opinion—we as Christians need to be more aware of in order to present the Light of the World, Jesus Christ, to those still living in Darkness.

But, like all these blogs, at the end of the day my posts are simply a way for me to serve any of four purposes:

1) to let off some steam,

2) to try to find my flow when overwhelmed with writer's block,

3) to connect and engage with you—my readers, and

4) to get out of re-editing manuscripts for the umpteenth time.
