For as long as Adam Hickey can remember, he has been fascinated by fear.​

From recurring nightmares as a child—convinced that a werewolf lived in his backyard, or that a woman was somehow trapped in his window—to his love of horror movies, he has always been intrigued by the dark imaginings of the human mind.

But that was because he knew there was always

Hope in that Fear.

A Light shining in the Darkness.

​

 His stories seek to make the reader ask deeper questions about life—and perhaps provide some of the answers—by taking ordinary characters and subjecting them to a supernatural darkness. But just as God does not leave His creations without a Light, neither does Adam.

He lives in a sleepy New England town in Australia, with his wife, their home-schooled children, and a stereo that knows no rest.
